Why Focus on Movement Education?
The goal for PlayTime Movement is to teach biomechanics & body awareness (proprioception) of the Human Movement System (our body).
Proprioception is one of our 8 senses. It is our sense of how our body is moving. To maximize our movement performance, it is necessary to have a foundation for what is correct.
Studies prove the habits we learn young– especially movement/fitness–are carried through to adulthood and many times become pain issues.
But they can be corrected at any age with Body Awareness and Biomechanics–decreasing pain, maximizing performance, and avoiding injury!
Get Comfortable With Your Body
Upon completion of the classes, the goal is for you to:
- Maximize Performance
- Avoid Injury
- Assess where your movement journey begins
- Confidently recognize correct vs incorrect movements
- Understand your body–your Movement System–better
- Overcome fears or pain with movement
Who are the classes for?
Anyone age 11 and up who wants to know more about moving their body properly. (Wear comfortable clothes)
